Just looking for recent experiences.
I have two lines on 90 plans and am planning on switching them to 30 day plans both are currently futuredated. One is going from 75 talk and text to 25 talk and text, the other 45$ talk text data LTE to talk text data 40 3g data.
With current wait being crazy I am planning to do immediate plan changes to avoid potential plan change issues during auto-pay. Just wondering if anyone has experienced or recalls issues doing immediate plan changes that then required mod intervention? Both these lines are going to the USA next week so they will need phones and USA add-ons.
Just trying to figure out best course of action:
Trust auto-pay/ auto planchange
Immideate plan change
Do nothing

An error occured and we were unable to change your plan.
Its the first time i have seen that message. Tried on phone and incognito mode on laptop. arg.... 🙂 will try again in a couple hours. if not i guess its queue time. 😞
I wonder if the system needs a little time after cancelling the future date prior to attempting another plan change?

yeah that was my thoughts. so i went ahead and tried the plan chage.
1) loaded funds enough first
2) canceled future dated plan
3) went to do plan change ( seected plan, confimed immideate chnage and got the following message:
An error occured and we were unable to change your plan.
Its the first time i have seen that message. Tried on phone and incognito mode on laptop. arg.... 🙂 will try again in a couple hours. if not i guess its queue time. 😞

Oh if not your lines and you manage/help I would do an immediate change it is only 2 days early then if there is an issue get in line for mod assistance. With renewal that close I would gladly give up 2-10 days to make sure my phone was working while away in the US

Renewal is on 27 for both so before the trip.
Just getting nervous, always reading plan change issues or not working account issues, especially since not my lines.

When are the plans due to renew? During the trip or after? If during I guess you don't want to pay for 90 days and then future date. This would only affect the $45 plan as you would be paying an extra $15 compared to switching now. As the talk and text is really same price with no savings for the 90 day plan. If they are set to renew while in the US I would do an immediate change to make sure they are up and running (I have never had any issue with autopay but) MY only reason for saying an immediate change is that not sure how good PM is at multitasking ie plan change /US addon and it is a lot easier to deal with when at home and the stress if a little less than if you are traveling and no phone, and with current wait times that could be awhile.
