IMEI number

I tried to get my phone number transferred from Bell. I got a message saying I had entered the wrong ESN/MEID  I understand that is the same as the IMEI. I don't know how to go back in and check that the number is correct.  I got a text from Bell asking if they could transfer it - so they must know it's me.

Thank you so much

@Julie13   There is a number you can call and can talk to live person , you can then give them the account number and other missing information.  I will private message you the number.  Please check your Community inbox on the top right

How do I get back to where it asks me to put in the number?

The account number is a lot less hassle, it seems the porting issues usually have to do with the IMEI and that the account # is preferred and doesn't hit the same snags

ESN/MEID isn't the same as IMEI, but you're correct that Public Mobile means IMEI. For transfers from Bell Mobility, the account number should be used instead of IMEI.
