Hi,

I did not get my rewards for the last 3 months (21$ missing). Also, I tried to submit à ticket, but the Web page freeze. Can I contact à moderator here? @CS_Agent

Many people may think that going from say 60 Mb to 3 Mb means that everything will take 20 times as long to do. But it takes virtually about the same amount of time to get connected to the web site each time you browse somewhere else no matter the connection speed.

For someone with a 10, 15, 20 Gb data plan you might do a fair bit of streaming or gaming online. But someone with 1Gb a month is not possibly using their data this way. Instead they are just surfing around checking here and there which means the speed drop to 3G is likely of no consequence.

@jazzeux you have a Ferrari that you don't use.. you have a max data amount of 3gb.

  • HD quality video is between 720p and 2K (remember, the app adjusts the stream). HD-quality video uses about 0.9GB (720p), 1.5GB (1080p) and 3GB (2K) per hour.

why do you need 220mb/s? the 3mb will still be the same speed as your 220mb when browsing. the only benefit is fast streaming video, which is pointless. even if you didn't like what you're watching, the phone has already downloaded the whole video

3mb can handle 720p with no buffering. and you have the option of switching to HSPA+ for a higher download speed

Your old 90 day plan has LTE without the 3Mbps limit. Never change your plan unless you undersstand that you won't get the faster speed again.

@jazzeux yes only 3 mb. Some people change their settings and can pull off different amounts like 8,12 think I seen one had it to 24 but officially it is 3mb.

What about the suggestion of @gpixel? What speed do you get for 3g? If it's 60Mb/s or more, I might change my plan. I wonder because 4g is fast and I notice that I can't go back to my old "legacy" plan if I don't like 3g.

I was deferring to gpixel4 seeing as how you asked him. Sometimes I'll jump in, sometimes I won't.

So now that you ask me...the so-called 3G data here is actually 4G LTE but throttled down to 3Mbps speed. Some regulars here have called it LTE-Lite. You can also set your phone to use the HSDPA connection and get full speed. But it may have some latency. Latency only matters for things like hi-res video. The 4G connection would have less latency. Many people here would say they don't really notice any difference using the LTE-Lite data. Unless cell data is your only connection to the internet, why wouldn't you watch hi-res video using wifi or terrestrial internet services?

I haven't done any speedtest here for a long time. But I wouldn't be able to help you because I have full 4G speed in my old plan too.

@jazzeux  it's LTE throttled to 3g speed which is 3MBs. No where near 60mb.

You are correct If you leave your legacy plan you will not be able to get it back.

Well...as I'm sure you already have...contact the mods and ask for it. Then watch for it again for your next renewal. Hopefully it'll all be right then. When they credit your account then your next renewal will be $42 less (all things remaining equal). So..79.33 on your payment card.

@gpixel

I still have LTE. I don't want 3g to be too slow. How fast are you getting with 3g? Here's à screenshot of my lte test:

Yup. 111 * 1.14975 = 127.62

See how far back the problem goes and ask for all of that to be credited to your account.

 @jazzeux

It certainly looks like you paid $111.

You started at zero before the screenshot. You ended at zero at the top.

That's a clean sweep of no rewards. How long has this been going on? You can see payment history going back 6 months. You would see lines saying Reward and which one. Once for each type. Autopay and loyalty are the easy ones. Referrals can change.

@jazzeux

Yeah I don't see the rewards there on your screenshot. It isn't on the next page by any chance?  And when you say you were charged the full $111 your credit card was actually charged more than $111... right? I mean $111 PLUS the taxes for your province? These missing rewards topics come up from time to time that turn out to be rewards that are reasonably close to the same amount as taxes are and people finally realize that the charge to their credit card is Plan Cost minus Credits plus Taxes.

And yeah, you could get much more data on a newer plan or much lower cost for the same data except it will be 3G like speeds rather than 4G speeds. If you are fine with only 1 Gb a month on average I predict you will NOT notice the slight drop in speed.

AE_Collector

@jazzeux can I suggest moving to one of the more current plans? you will have 4.5gb data if you switch to the newer $40 plan. or if you're happy with 1gb per 30 days. downgrade to the $25/1gb plan. you won't notice the speed change going from full LTE to throttled. you will keep all your rewards

Here is more info about the Loyalty award.

On the first plan renewal date, after 12 months of tenure as a Public Mobile member, you will begin to earn a recurring Loyalty Reward for as long as you remain an active Public Mobile customer on that account. Regardless of what plan you are on, your tenure will continue to accumulate as long as your account remains active. If your account is in a suspended state for more than 60 days in a year, your Loyalty Reward will be delayed by the number of days your account was suspended.

You need to be with PM for at least 365 days. If you have it will appear on your 13th cycle. PM cycles are 30 days.

What rewards are missing?  If it is referral rewards are you sure all your referrals are still active?  A few months ago PM went and fixed a bug in the system where it was still giving rewards for referrals who were no longer active and extra rewards for "ghost" referrals.

So let us know what rewards you are missing

@jazzeux What makes you think you did not get your rewards? Log in to your self-serve account and go to Payment History. Take a screenshot of the recent renewal and post it here without any personal info. What do you see on the Rewards page?
