I cannot make calls or receive calls but data is working

Hi,

 

I have 2 sim cards in 2 different phones from public mobile, I cannot make calls on both phones but data is working any insight?

I have 2 phones 1 supports volte and one does not and both does not work even though the one with volte is enabled. Yea 3G is not working at all. Only data on 4g and 5g 

the fact that it does not connect to 3G means there is a 3G network problem in your area.  Your phone is not VoLTE compatible with PM, and therefore you are not getting voice

open ticket with PM first

at the same time, check if your phone has a VoLTE toggle.  Maybe on the Connection screen.  Enable it and test calls again

It does not connect to 3g however it does to 4g and 5g and I have data but no talk. 

 

My account is valid and not suspended 

but can you confirm if the phone connects to 3G? or not able to connect to any network?

if it does not connect to any network, then it is the account (maybe suspended) or a network problem.  

to confirm if account problem, please login My Account and check if it is active.  if it is a network problem, please send PM a ticket

Neither 3g or 4g or 5g works non. 

when you set the phone to 3G , does it connect? if not, it shows there is a problem with the 3G network in the area

Same thing does not work 

reboot the phone first

and also change the network mode to 3G (some phones call it WCDMA or HSPA)  and check if you can use voice calls on the 3G network 

PM has removed the mobile data/voice outage alert in Calgary, so it should be fixed.  Try reboot the phone

or if you still encounter the same, tell PM your service problem.   Just open ticket with PM using the Orange Chatbot icon on the lower right. Type the question Submit ticket and select Contact Us to get to ticket open screen

I tried a Samsung instead of a xiaomi and it worked seems like Public mobile is blocking xiaomi / redmi or some brands

are you in calgary?  Calgary has some reported issue

but try Reset network settings

Both phones are xiaomi and both was working fine yesterday

could be 3G problem in your area and your phone not a VoLTE phone whitelisted by PM
