I am switching from Freedom to Public. I removed the freedom sim and gave it to my daughter. I put the new public mobile sim in my iPhone 8. I chose a new number. It does not work.

I did do this. It didn’t resolve the issue.

If you picked a new number. Try rebooting your phone by powering off then back on.

try you sim in another phone to confirm

But it does sound like a sim card provision issue. Easy fix for PM but you need to engage them by direct message here

**Monitor your Community inbox (envelope icon on top right) after the ticket is opened.  CS Agent will reply to you there

Just to clarify, you did not transfer your number from Freedom mobile to Public mobile.  Correct?  You just want to activate a new account with Public mobile with new phone number. 

Were you charged?  Did you activate the new account on the website or Public mobile app?  If on the website, you will need to download the PM app and finish activation.
