I just joined Public. I purchased the Us- Can- Mex SIM card. I transferred my number successfully from my other provider. I am traveling to the states and have found that my data and texting works, but I am unable to make or receive voice calls. I have contacted Public and they said everything is fine on their end. Not sure if its my phone settings? I'm am currently on roaming mode.

@raimola The Note 9 is not on Public Mobile's approved VoLTE list, so would only work for voice calls in the USA if you can connect to T-Mobile's 2G network. The presence or absence of a VoLTE setting makes no difference if the phone is not on PM's VoLTE list that I linked for you. It's not an issue for that phone in Canada because we still have 3G here (for now, Rogers is shutting theirs down this year, no word yet on Telus and Bell)

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 phone. About 7 years old. I can't seem to find the VoLTE option?

@raimola If data and texting work but not voice calls it seems likely that your phone is not VoLTE capable or approved by Public Mobile. Check the list at the bottom of this page
https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/volte
The USA no longer has any 3G networks so you need a phone that can do Voice over LTE (VoLTE). If your phone cannot do VoLTE then you could try connecting on 2G to T-Mobile, which is also being shut down but still exists in some areas. Other than that, you could use a voip app like Fongo or TextNow to make calls using data or wifi (but it would not use your PM phone number)
