@TeresaDAO - if you are not a Public Mobile customer with an activated SIM card yet. You will need to obtain a Public Mobile SIM card then activate here online: https://publicmobile.ca/en/on/portal/activation
During this SIM card activation process you will be given screens to port over your Fido number and also create a My Account.

1- Purchase a PM SIM
2- On your PC, clear cache, cookie and go incognito then create your account and enter your SIM number etc
3- Leave your Fido SIM in your phone and wait for the text from Fido confirming you are porting over to PM. There is a 90 minute window so don’t miss it
4- Power off your phone and switch the SIM then power on your phone

If Yes, then
Leave your OLD SIM in a phone; reply Yes within 90 minutes to port request.

1. Login to your PM account.
2. Select Profile
3. Click the "Change phone number" button
4. Select "Transfer Phone Number" and follows the instruction to port your Fido number to PM.

Sign up for PM. And in the activation process, port your number from FIDO. As long as your FIDO account is in good standing and paid up..the port will close the Fido account. Make sure that you leave your FIDO SIM in your phone as they will text you to authorize the porting out of your number.
Make sure that you have a PM SIM and a referral code.
