I recently subscribed to a public mobile plan, however i never got past step 2. It took my money but I never received any data. Instead, I am going to join my families plan on public mobile! How can I get my money back?

Did you activate your plan via the website or the app? If via the website, you will need to finish the activation via the app. Download the app to finish off activation.

There is NO family plan at PM. Every account is unique and independent from any other.
Did you have ANY service? Calls/SMS? If you did have it I doubt PM will issue a refund as you did use pre-paid service.
If you did NOT have any service since subscribing then open a ticket:
Open a Ticket through chatbot - https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html
Type ‘ticket’ and follow prompts. Having a ticket is preferred way to contact agent as they might respond faster then receiving personal mail.

Perhaps that is a typo? Public Mobile does not have any family plans. If you couldn't get your Public Mobile plan to work then you would need to contact customer service using this link
