I am looking to move to public mobile from another carrier, and want to go with the new Canada-US 5G plan. However, I won't be able to switch my phone over to Public Mobile for several weeks. I know the plan expires on March 4, so I want to act now. If I purchase the plan and have the SIM card shipped, does the service start today when I make the request through the portal, or does it start when I activate the plan? If it is when I activate the plan, can I still wait the several weeks (lets say I activate it on April 1)? Or will have I have to pick a new plan?

service starts as soon as you activate your new PM account. Nobody know how long these Cdn / US plans will be available. Best to get it while it's here.

That will actually work. It can take up to 3 weeks to get it in the mail. Just because you get the SIM card in 3 weeks, no rule about you waiting one more week if needed. You already purchased the plan. It starts when YOU register the SIM card on the plan.

@SomeMom613 So you can create a new account with the plan you will pay upfront for it . And you can wait to activate the sim on the app when your ready and the plan will only start once you activate the sim . This way you will have the plan locked into until your ready to activate
