I am currently in Japan for schooling and will be back in half a year, but my public mobile accts says my number and acct will be deleted in 90 days what can I do to prevent this? I have already skipped one subscription period and cant do it again.

If the account gets deleted, you lose your number. If keeping your number is important to you, you'll need to reactivate for 30 days once every 90 days (and don't wait until day 90). If you want you can change to the cheapest $15 plan.

Would there be any way to preserve my phone number from being deleted? Or to transfer to another service that can hold onto my phone number?

The only way to prevent the account from being closed would be to make a payment sufficient to renew the plan.
