Have you tried to Reboot your Phone?
Even try a Reset of your device's Network Settings.

What number is showing when you check your Self Serve account under your Plan and Addons TAB...is it the new one?
If still issues, after some trouble shooting you could check in with the Moderators to confirm your account has the number changed successfully.

Some more info is needed.
Were you able to make calls before?
What your account says what is your phone number now?
I currently experience very slow PM site so that might be an issue? I would try an hour or so later.

Does the new number show up in your self service account?
Try rebooting or restarting your phone.
Maybe network reset of phone.
