Living in the UK and phone SIM has deactivated. My phone number is attached to my bank account. My tax return has landed and I want to send it to the UK. All methods ask for phone number verification. My phone for some unknown reason will not enable app verification. Bank will not accept UK number.
I have also paid for a Esim to try connect to a new number, but it needs to be activated via the public mobile app which is not available to a UK play store. That now seems a waste of money.
Any suggestions? I'm a bit lost.

@Pinkse PM does not have roaming service in UK
There is really no way you can get the number back, especially you are not in Canada
Call the bank and change the 2FA to email or authenticator app. That will definitely be a quicker way
