Help - Rarely Use Data, but shows 90% Used
Any insights appreciated.
I rarely use cellular except when no wifi or when using my iPhone's GPS.
So I I knew it didn't make sense when I received a text early December saying 90-95% of my data was used up.
But since I received the Happy Holidays extra Gig of data before I had a chance to contact PM, I figured I wouldn't bother.
Then a few days ago I get the message again, saying I'm 90% used up.
Has someone 'hijacked' my data?
Or? Is there a setting on my phone that I need to change?
My Settings typically are:
Cellular Data - on
Cellular Data Options - Enable LTE - on
Cellular Data Options - Data Roaming - on
At the moment I have Cellular Data turned off as I am afraid just by having it on it's being used up.
Thanks for help!

check your data usage in setting

In addition to the above: turn WiFi assist off. That function uses data even if you are on WiFi if the phone seems the connection strength too weak (whatever that the trigger is for that)

Check your settings to make that you don't have automatic updates for apps. Also turn off GPS.

Since you have an iPhone I would recommend going to you iPhone 'Settings' then open up 'Cellular' options, scroll down and turn off data use for any apps you don't want to use your cellular data with. Some apps do auto updates or are just running in the back ground using data.
