Google Meet front camera gets “automatically turned off” on Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite

Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite when using Google Meet. The rear camera works fine, but when I switch to the front camera, the screen goes black and Meet says the camera was automatically turned off. I checked the Meet app permissions and made sure Camera access is allowed, but it didn’t change anything. I also force-stopped Meet, cleared the cache, and restarted the tablet, but the problem still happens. What’s strange is that the front camera also fails in the Samsung Camera app (black screen / closes) while the rear camera works normally. Any suggestions here would be really appreciated, especially if this is a known Samsung/One UI issue. Is there a specific setting, diagnostic step, or update I should check to get the front camera working again?

@PlanOptimizer

prolly not gonna get alot of advice in this chat room as mostly just Public Mobile issues are addressed here. Maybe Samsung has a similar community you could research. Good luck.

hi @PlanOptimizer

this is a device issue, nothing to do with PM service

make sure your Google Meet is up to date, check OS Update.

and check if other app can use both camera

you might even need to Reset the phone to factory default to test
