Not sure if this section is where I should post this...
1. I would like to switch to another cellphone company
2. I would like to have my sister take over my current $40/4GB plan on PM
What will the process be if I want both me and my sister to keep our current phone numbers? If anyone in the community or the mods can help me list out each step I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you

However, @Luddite has posted a work around here: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Discussions/How-do-I-port-out-my-number-and-still-kee...(and see here https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Self-Serve/Porting-a-number-from-PM-to-PM/m-p/163972/...for the official statement...)
You would need to open a second (or third, depending on the scenario) account with a generic number and have the mods help you move the numbers from one to the other before you port out your number.
Ah, that thing. Never really understood exactly how that works. But i guess it is possible.

Its not possible to port out your number and keep the account open for someone else to take over. And no, Public Mobile is prepaid only service.

@entei5000, not sure if there is a way for both of you to keep your numbers. Does your sister currently have a PM account? See if you port out your number to a different provider yoru PM account closes. If you change numbers to her number, you lose your number. I would private message a mod and ask if your sister was to create an account with her number if it is possible to switch numbers between two plans. Then you could port out your number. I am not sure they would or can do this. I personally wouldn't if this was my business.

One of you will have to give up your current number. As soon as one of you ports your number out, the account closes. Its the easiest and less complicated solution.
So if your sister wants your plan, you would have to forfeit your number and account, and she could then port her number into that account.

I don't think you'll have much luck here...

If you port out your number directly from your current account you will loose the account and your promo plan. If you want to keep the plan by porting another number to it you loose your number.
Edited to streamline the wording...
