Do I need an actual new sim for my Galaxy S6. Compatibility?

I need to port a Bell number and I am interested in Public Mobile $20. plan

after you got the sim card, download PM app on the phone and then start the activation process using the PM app

Thank you, I will order a new PM Sim from Amazon and then simply work from the PM site once I receive it to make the switch?

you can still subscribe any plan even your phone is not VoLTE compatible with PM

it will still work for now, but 3G will slowly shifty away, and likely will be gone within 3 years

Is the $20. plan only available if my phone is VoLTE compatible or can I simply order the new sim and it will work.

VoLTE capability at Public Mobile has always gone back to the Galaxy S20 series of devices.

With respect to signing up for the $20 plan, that is part of the activation process where you will be able to select a plan that is currently available to customers.  As for number transfer, my suggestion is to activate with a new number first and then do the number transfer separately after successful activation.  Doing it this way is a little safer in that if something goes wrong with activation, it won't disrupt your existing Bell service.  As for number transfer, this help article explains the steps.

Sims cards are $10 each. You can buy it on Amazon for half that price.

SIM cards can only be used once. If you have an active Public Mobile SIM card in another phone and you don't want to use that phone anymore, then yes just swap it out.

Can same sim card be used for S7? I have both available

hi @PCPAC3 if you are new subscriber and planning to move from Bell to Public Mobile, yes, you need a new Public Mobile sim card.  You can buy a Public Mobile sim card from Telus or Koodo or Mobile Klink store or Amazon

the S6 will work but won't be great.  It will use 3G for voice and PM, like Bell, is moving some 3G bands in many area, which mean you might not get good reception

And whichever carrier you go, you should consider changing to a new device for better compatibility.  3G will likely be fully decommissioned in 2 years, which means your phone is at max has 2 more years of life
