Hi, stupid phone person here. I have a 5GB plan, But when I look on my current subscription...that half circle meter looking thing it shows 3.17/ 17GB used....where has the 17 GB come from? I know along the way I have gotten offers to add GB's I have clicked that I wanted then and fir the same price as I was paying I might add. But if I have all this extra GB's why does the plan still say I only have 5 GB? Reason I'm asking is that I see on my account where you can upgrade your subscription that I can upgrade to 10GB for the same price,,,But if I have /showing 17GB like why would I right....I just trying to figure out if I do have 17GB or 5GB?? Anyone have this or know what I'm trying  to say...LOL Thanks

No mix up or anything like that - it’s just a gift from PM.  A few months back my wife also received this 10 GB gift from PM.  She was on a 4G 1GB plan but just to be nice PM gifted her an additional 10 GB data.

@Em59

You are welcome.

You likely have 12 GB worth of data add ons.  So, if you switch to 10 gB plan, your total GB should be 22 GB.

To explain further:

Each payment cycle, your 5 GB data plan data (or 10 GB if you switch) will be used up first.  If that is used up, then your next data add on should be used next.  Once you use up one data on, then it will disappear from your account. You likely don't use much data since you have so much data add ons left in your account.

If you decide to switch, alway switch at next renewal (not immediately) since PM does not prorate plans.

Thank You Dunkman! You explained this perfectly! I was wondering if I did switch would I be back at the 10GB assuming I did have the 17GB. Thank You so much! Have an awesome day!!

The system is confusing at times.  Don't feel bad.

You likely have a few grandfathered data add ons that you have not used over the years. In the past, there have been Christmas Data add on give aways, These add ons don't expire (unlike the newer data add ons).  Click on Usage breakdown in the picture below and it should show several data add ons that should add up to 17 GB.

Since you can see a 10 GB plan data offered in your account for same price, you might as well change plans at next renewal.  Then your total data should be 22 GB.

@Em59

you likely have a plan with speed rated as 5G; rather than 4G/LTE or 3G. Think of it as 5th Generation .

added...nvm....I can just confuse the issue.
