Having just finished the FM promo, I wonder if what this article talks about  had anything to do with inspiring it.

Too little too late for me. 

However, by the looks of their plans, they have a new $55 plan that gives all users 3GB of Canada wide data, text, and voice. That's not too far off the big 3. My first plan with them was $29 for 5GB. 

They might improve enough over the  next year, but almost certainly Shaw will be competative, as in, with Bell, Rogers, Telus.

Will definitely help increase their network speeds and reliability, however they'll still be quite far behind the top three who have strong, well established networks.
