Flash Sale - 2GB Possible to Change Plans?

I just signed up as a new customer with the Flash Sale of extra 2GB/month for 12 months. I will never use this much data so was hoping to downgrade to a lower level plan -- is it too late? I literally opened an account yesterday so I am hoping it's an easy fix 😞

Changing plan will void your promotion and you will end up with whatever downgraded plan has to offer.

Of course, you never know and asking agent kindly might make your wish granted. Do not hesitate, ask agent, say you made honest mistake in exciting rush to sign up with PM.

I would ask customer support. It seems to me that having a lesser data bonus than the 2GBBONUS promocode supplies but that allows you to change plans seems unfair. Perhaps @J_PM can give us an update on whether or not you can schedule a change plan on next renewal. Maybe you can ask customer support to change your promocode because you used the wrong one? You didn't realize there was a difference between the two promocodes?

Yes that's what I was worried about - I tried to change in the self-serve and got a warning that I would lose the promotion. 😞 really should have been paying closer attention to the GBs!

I signed up for the $50 plan, but with the extra 2GB, the $40 plan would work be perfect! Thanks for the link & advice

What plan did you choose? The minimum plan for that promotion was $25/1gb so there is only one plan lower than that. Read the terms and services to see if as long as you stay at or above the $25 plan threshold you can keep the data bonus then you should be ok to schedule a plan change on next renewal to at least the $25 plan. You may want to confirm with customer support before doing so first though.

 

Edit:

The terms and conditions do state:

 

  • 2GB recurring data bonus will be applied to activations on $25, $35, $40, $50, 60 and $70 rate plans with the use of the promo code. Offer excludes $15 plans. Bonus data will expire if the account becomes inactive or the rate plan is changed.

@melmer So you signed up for what plan yesterday and want to downgrade to what plan today?

 

You have already paid for the up coming month so if you change plans (you can do it in your self serve account) do it or select it to be done at next renewal. otherwise you lose what you paid and will get charged for the new plan immediately. Any promos or conditions will could be lost upon the change.
