Voicemail notifications keep popping on phone, but when VM checked it states you have no voicemail. This happens often every day for well over weeks on end.
How do I stop the false notifications? I keep thinking I might ignore it and then it might actually be a real VM.
Truthfully, have not received a real VM on this system, as I am hard of hearing and all that know me use text.
I know it is not an option, but I would be one of the first to just opt out of VM completely. As a hearing impaired person, I cannot understand a sequence of numbers such as a person stating their phone number and find it quite irritating. Maybe Public would consider it as an option for those who cannot use it properly?
But for right now, could Public please stop the false notifications? I do not get voicemail, or at least I should not due to my disability.

HI @slusagm
sound like you don't need Voicemail at all, why don't you just disable it using workarounds?
Call your voicemail and log in with your PIN.
press 3 (manage greetings), then 4 (manage extended absence greeting), then 2 (record a new extended absence greeeting)
You can then record a message that indicates to your caller you are not accepting messages.
And now press 4 to turn on extended absence
Finally, press 5 to disallow anyone to leave you a message

None of the solutions work.
I will ride it out for another couple of months until my prepaid vouchers runout.
I know other provides that do not make VM mandatory and that would be my best solution. Or just to go data only.

If you have iPhones, it is the Live Voicemail, disable it and it will go away
