Hi,
I am a new customer to public Mobile. I received a new SIM card, and i chose to get a news Phone number from public mobile for now, to ease up the activation process.
Unfortunately, i can't activate the SIM card received. The APP mentions that it sends a 6 digit verification code to my new public mobile number....but i don't receive it. !!
I can make calls from a cell phone with that new SIM, but can't receive any calls on that number, nor SMS messages.
What is the remedy to this situation now ?

@Handy1 i downloaded the app and followed the procedure, and tried all combination of things, and all failed the activation process of that temporary PM number give. I have called the Telus Porting dept., and they helping porting my other phone number to this PM SIM card....I hope this is going to work, fingers crossed !!
If this does not solve the issue, any clue on what can be done next ?

@Jdoummar You can port in during or after activation . . But to activate you need to use the public mobile app . You cannot activate on the website alone anymore . If you haven’t already downloaded the app please do so and try again . It should pick up where you left off on the website
add sorry @Jdoummar had you and another thread confused for a min so you have been using app and still not luck . And you have tried rebooting the phone ?. Are you able to test the SIM card in another phone to test ?

Thanks for the quick reply. As mentioned earlier, i did not opt for porting during the activation process, because i was trying to avoid additional complexities with the activation process. I opted for going with a PM phone number, i chose one, and proceeded with the activation using a new PM phone number ..but it is not working . should i follow a porting procedure now, in the middle of this failing activation process ? or solve that one first, then looking at porting as a second step ?

@Jdoummar Did you try to port a number over to PM ? If yes did you leave old carriers sim in the phone to reply YES to the confirmation text to port ? Or miss the text ? No worries I’ll private message you the porting gram number and they can re trigger the port request for you
