Last month I received a message saying I'd exceeded my data usage so I upgraded my plan to 3gb, I've just received another text message saying I've exceeded the 3gb and on checking my usage I see large data usage being recorded around midnight on many days. As I've used less than 5gb of data in the entire 6 years I've been with PM, and haven't changed my usage habits, this unknown usage had to be wrong.

Has anyone else noticed unusual data usage on their plan?

Seems to be many folks complaining that PM has screwed up data usage and unless it is fixed, and credits issued,  it will be time to look at that Chatr $149.00 plan.

Sorry for the late reply. Just started my new month and again PM is screwing up saying I've used 75% of my data after only 6 days On checking my iPhone log AND the PM  App both  showing only 365kb of 3GB used! I believe the issue is due to me upgrading my subscription from 500kb (the basic) per month to 3gB with the system doing the data logging not recognizing I've upgraded to 3bB. 365kb of 500kb is approximately 75% hence the alert.

This is the second month this has happened and last month PM cut off my data.

Same here, got the "95% of 1GB used" on the last day of my billing cycle, despite my phone and PM's consumer portal both agreeing on ~60MB for the previous 30 days. That is 6% used, not 95%.

you have an iPhone or Android?

if you have an Android, it is easy to check the usage on your phone to confirm.  Go to the Data usage page on the phone, but make sure you change the cycle start date to match your current PM cycle start date for the usage to be meaningful

Thanks for the comment. From a couple of posts it seems other folks are seeing unusual high data usage and I'd like to get an answer for this issue. I rarely use data via cellular so to use 3gb in less than 30 days when my total data usage since 2019 has been less than 5gb needs an answer.

Data usage is reported twice a data in bulk, so that late night report is for half the day's usage.

Thanks for the comment. 

I'd also like to know if anyone else is seeing the odd high data usage reports just after midnight. From using less that 5gb over 6 years to more than 3gb is less than 30 days has to be an error in the system. I have not changed my phone usage.

There is an issue with the system sending out wrong messages on texts. This has been going on for a bit here. You figure SOMEONE at Public Mobile would place something in the Announcement section by now.
