Error: ER05 "Invalid SIM card"

Hello,

I put my fathers SIM card into a new phone and now it's giving me this error:

Error: ER05 "Invalid SIM card"

Important Notice

Your SIM card needs to be updated for Wi-Fi calling service compatibility.

The device is unlocked, it's the LG Stylo 4 model number LM-Q710MS and I've checked to see that it works with Public Mobile and it's compatible

Sometimes when callers call the phone it rings, sometimes it doesn't work at all, this is a Public mobile sim card issue, how do I fix it?

and i turned off wifi calling, it still doesn't work, goes straight to voice mail, phone doesn't even ring

Yea...it's not a PM sim issue if it works in a different phone.

Keep playing with settings to see if that's the cause of your vexation..

Edit...where did the phone come from ? Did you get it on eBay or some such source ? Make sure your phone isn't blacklisted or reported as stolen.

PM doesn't offer wifi calling...yet. Try that sim in a different unlocked phone.
