I've been with public mobile 3 or 4 years. My phone was working up until an hour ago. Now it will not send texts or make a phone call. When I try to call it's just dead airspace. When I try to send a text it says you can't send it on public mobile, error 0

Well I did redo that and that's when I noticed the problem. I just hooked up to a new phone a few days ago and had trouble with that until I learned the right way to do it lol. Thank you.

@TMe , software can glitch sometimes. I suspect that is what happened with your phone. It is a good idea to reboot the phone from time to time. If there is any unusual behavior, reboot should be the first action before going into any further troubleshooting.

You are lucky to have such easy fix... Following some car forums, people have massive issues with ACC (adaptive Cruise Control) when it stops working out of blue during driving. They have to stop, turn car off, turn on and it works again for a while.
In your case it could be that phone lost connection with cell tower and was not able to connect again so hard rebooting was needed.

Thanks to everyone for responding so quickly. I was almost panicking cuz I didn't have service. There seems to be many things with public mobile that just doesn't jive. Up until the other day and today I've had no problems whatsoever in minimum 3 years have been with public mobile so overall I'm fine it's just frustrating when you can't get someone to actually speak with. The bot is an idiot.

As I said I can't call or send texts. I am on auto pay. I am connected to my home network.
After toggling airplane mode on and off couple times and we starting my phone it seems to be fine now. That seems like an odd fix. How would anyone know to do that? Is that just a public mobile thing?

Hi @TMe In case it has issue again, it could be a SIM or device issue
First try to reseat sim, just power off and take out the SIM for a minute
and also try the SIM in another phone.

I saw the other person's inquiry. I did the airplane toggling and then I restarted my phone and it seems to be fine now. I had restarted my phone previous and it didn't work but combined with the airplane mode toggling it seems to work now thank you. But what is error 0 because it says it's nothing there's no such thing when you talk to the bot or when you put it in as a label

What your self-service PM account says when you log in? Is your service still active?
Somebody else reported similar issue few minutes ago.
Did you try to re-seat your SIM (remove, insert again).
Can you send/receive SMS? Internet working (data on)?

Could it be your phone plan went into suspension? Log in to PM Self-Serve and see.
