hi @Farsan

yes it will.  Make sure when you login PM app, you use the same email address as you login for the account of the phone number you try to transfer over

@Farsan

this is normal, only one active sim is allowed for an account, that's why the physical sim no longer works after you got the eSIM.

Were you trying to have 2 sims on 2 different phones for the same account? Sorry, this cannot be done.

But if you installed the esim on the old phone, then you will need to follow my steps above to get a new esim for the new phone.  However, you would have to pay another $5 for that.  But if that is the case, you can try to ask PM CS support for a possible reimbursement.  Please open ticket using Public Mobile Expert Messaging using your Community/EverSafe account.  Select Start a Chat to begin:

**You'll get email/SMS alert when agent replies. or monitor here: https://expert-messaging.publicmobile.ca/message-centre

When eSIM was bought in the old iPhone imminently afterward the SIM card on that iPhone became not usable and SOS came out

so seems like the physical sim was burned but now transfer from old phone to new phone cannot be done

do you know what else I should do ?

Just wish to add to this. @Farsan if you own an iPhone, you can try to use it's internal converter that can change a physical SIM card into an eSIM. Meaning you won't have to purchase one since Public Mobile supports eSIM, this is an option. Only downside is if you lose your phone, you'll have to purchase a new eSIM or physical SIM card. I've done it myself with a few iPhones. But if it's Android, you'll have to purchase one via the app. The benifit of purchasing a eSIM from PM for $5, you buy one, you'll never have to buy another if you lose or switch phones. They only charge you again if you do it twice within a 15 day period.

@Farsan

you will need to buy an eSIM uisng the app.  The first eSIM, which is this one, will cost you $5, but subsequent one will be free as long as the last one you got is 15 days ago

To rebuy new eSIM , first, download the app on your new phone and login.
(If you have problem with receiving 2FA code, click "Didn't Receive code" or "Resend code" and choose either "Send email" or "Send Voice Message")

Once logged in, Click Account from the bottom, then click Purchase SIM Card and select eSIM.   Wait for the app to confirm your phone is eSIM compatible, click Pay $  and Install

use the mobile app to log in to your account; tap the Account tab (at bottom of screen) > scroll to see Purchase SIM...then you should find Continue With eSIM ($5).

What make model is your cell...just make sure it'll take esim.
