If you currently a public mobile customer can you switch from a sim to an e-sim? If so how to proceed. Thanks

Yeah, it seems like for new activation for eSIM or eSIM to eSIM porting. No conversion from SIM to eSIM like Koodo offers.

@Sylvana99- It's a valid interpretation of the original question. But I would suspect that the original question is in the context of this place. If you have an active Public sim, you can not presently change to a Public esim for that account. You could ADD a new account esim and have two Public accounts if your phone allows that. But otherwise the only way to do so would be to port out and then back in to a whole new account and then you can use a Public esim.
@J_PM- Thanks for the future hope. Any timeframe on that?
And how about opening up all volte capable devices for use here? As it stands now, it's extremely restrictive. This then is no longer a BYOD provider. It's a - maybe if we feel like it we might let you use volte here provider. That sucks.

- I have asked the same question earlier and can say NO ---- Definitely no way you can add eSim on an existing account.

thats strange because I bought an Esim NOT FROM PM and I was able to switch between the two, Ive been a customer since 2017 so I am aware of what your saying, but what im saying is, if you buy a sim seperate from public you can switch between the physical PM sim and the Esim purchased.

If you are wondering if you can use an Esim when a physical sim is in the device, Yes you can! , depending on the phone you have you would need to go to you celular settings and find "add Esim" , add the infromation for the Esim and you may need to restart your phone, but you should be all set and be able to switch between the two 🙂 hope this helps

@gbranscombe1963 No you can’t . ESIM only for new activations for now . Not existing customers unfortunately . Hopefully this will change soon .
