I will go to Alaska by cruise and would like to have internet there. Does 40GB Canada-US Data Plan work in Alaska including Juneau, Skagway, Sitka, Icy Strait Point and Ketchikan? What is the carrier and is US roaming already included in the data plan? Is hotspot available?
Also can I keep my existing phone number? If I purchase now, can I start the plan on July 21? Is there a contract or can it be go by month?
Greatly appreciated for any answers to the questions!

Good thing asked before purchasing US Roaming in Alaska because PM roaming doesn’t work in Alaska.
Because there are no T-Mobile (PM partnership) towers in Alaska.
You can purchase WiFi access on the cruise ship but it will be expensive or connect to free WiFi at ports of call and use WhatsApp or TextNow.

@ACVH , based on feedback from other customers, this service will not support roaming in Alaska.

Roaming in general doesn't seem to work in Alaska. So that would apply to the plan as well.
The roaming partner is T-Mobile but they don't have infrastructure there so their roaming partners (us anyway) can't roam there on their roaming partner.
The plan is all about roaming.
Hotspot should work fine.
Check this link to make sure your existing number from another carrier can be transferred.

The plan starts when you pay.
This place is prepaid. Not pay as you go and not postpaid.
