New here. Do you need to bring your own phone to public? If yes, any suggestions on where best to bring a phone for low/no cost?

yes, you need to bring you own phone here as PM does not sell phone

better to have a phone that is sold in Canada instead of one bough from overseas

you should get a phone on this list, or newer generation  of those models on the list ,  for VoLTE support

Yes, you need to bring your own phone. This is a self serve service. You MUST use the app on your phone to sign up.

To confirm if your phone will work with Public Mobile, please see this link. These are currently and mildly out of date lists of what can work.
