I just want to disable voicemail I don't want to see any calls going to the telus voicemail number 1-647-580-4001.That's not my phone number and I don't want to dial it if I don't dial it, nor have my phone dial it if I don't answer a call. I've tried the solution of setting up an Extended Absent Greeting and it is not working. I just don't want any voicemail. It cost me 39 minutes trying to get rid of voice mail but I know I did not spend that much time interacting with the voicemail system so something is wrong with the voicemail system. I want to be able to disable voicemail and call-forwarding. The option to deselect those features on my phone does not allow the deselecting of those features, I can only see them as a dimmed out "read only" enabled. Thank you.

My responses are different, @jounbug19 Are you scrolling DOWN to see the later ones?
My earlier response suggested dialing your own number "from another device" to check voicemail, not from your own device.
I do that myself when wanting to save minutes on my own limited-minute plan.
Indeed, it's too bad Public Mobile doesn't enable users to call their own voicemail without using available limited minutes. I agree.

HALIMACS you're just replying the same response and itt's not working. In addition pressing * during voice mail after dialing my own PM number still cost me 6 minutes. Interacting with the voicemail service costs minutes. It shouldn't be like that.

You are aware of that calls redirected to your voicemail do not count toward any limited minutes?
Calls to check or manage voicemail messages do, however. (again, if you are on a minute limited plan)
I don't believe there is any way to completely disable voicemail such that calls endlessly ring. It would be a nice option for some, however.

Halimacs, I've already tried *004*8080000000# and *67*8080000000# before posting my question and tried it again and each time it has given back the message, so obviously that solution no longer works:
MIM Code started
Call forwarding conditionally for All Basic Services
Connection problem or invalid MIM code
And yes, I dialed 7 zeroes after or the 808. After trying that, not one thing changes; I still have the same voicemail ; unanswered calls initiate a call to voicemail. I don't want anyone to ever be able to leave a voicemail or reach a voicemail message, that way no one can later say to me "why don't you check your messages" I would let the call just keep ringing. Thank you.

To "disable" voicemail, dial *004*8080000000#
To reset it back to defaults, dial ##004#
It should be noted, @jounbug19 , that one can also check their voicemail from another device by dialing your OWN Public Mobile number, then press the * (to the left of the 0 key) during your voicemail box greeting, enter your voicemail password, and listen to your messages that way.
At least this way, you won't have to use minutes from your plan (if you're on the $15, minute-limited plan)
