It’s a flip phone for a senior who has never worked with tech. Would be nice to have a straight voice only handset but I understand in today’s world there wouldn’t be much profit in that. The handset itself does not have the option to disable sms.
I don't think that is possible with Public Mobile. but you can try uninstalling the app or use mobile settings to do so if your device permits. Besides, why do you want to disable SMS on your phone.
