Did not receive the massage about 6GB for $40 being offered for Koodo switch

Hi, I didn't  receive the massage about 6GB for $40 being offered for Koodo switch which my friend have received.

The massage said "Public Mobile here. Don't miss out! The $40 6GB offer ends March 31, 2018. Join Koodo and get 6GB of data, unlimited text and unlimited Canada-wide minutes for $40/month. Plus you may qualify for a $0 phone with the Koodo Tab. And you'll also get a one-time $100 bill credit. Offer valid for xxx-xxx-xxxx. Redeem at your nearest Koodo location or online at https://koo.do/gocustomer-service. Show this msg and use promo code GOKOODO406GB to redeem along with 2 pieces of ID. Your phone number is your validation code. You're included on the list for Public Mobile offers and deals. To be excluded, reply unsubscribe. Conditions apply."

She successefully switched to the offer but I don't. Why didn't I get the massage? And could I still switch to this $40/6g offer?

thanks so much for your reply.  That was very helpful. You are probably right.  I am concerned that public mobile will be completely gone shortly and I will be left with having to suffer an expensive plan with another provider for my 3 phones

The eligibility requirements I saw was simply being on the 90 day plan with data.  Where did you see the eligibility requirements?

@debsnider Public Mobile is NOT going away any time soon.  Its role seems to be evolving into more what Bell (with Lukcy) and Rogers (with Chatr) are using their 3rd tier brands for.  It's still a very valuable foot-in-the-door to the Telus family.  You may see the plan offerings change, but you should be able to keep yours for the forseeable future even if that happens.  In short, don't panic.

I went to Koodo and I have tried online as well.  For some reason, my 3 cell phone numbers with Public Mobile are not eligible and will not work in their system.  I have been with Public Mobile for years -  since they started the company.  My 3  lines are all on the 90 day 3+3GB data plan.  So I have not waited until the last two days - I have tried before with no success

This promo was ONLY sent out / eligible to the 2016 fall promo/2017 freedom migration $120/12gb LTE/90day plans $40/4GB LTE /30day.

You are on a 3+3 plan hence why you didn't get it and are not eligible.

Well, you wouldn’t see the actual details, as you didn’t receive the txt message from PM.

The subscribers on the 2016 Fall Promo were sent a txt.message, unless they unsubscribed previously, giving them the details.

Some of these threads had the detail copied and pasted, but to use the code, your phone number needed to be eligible.

@debsnider, those plans are not eligible for the plan on offer.

ONLY those with the Fall 2016 PROMO ARE ELIGIBLE CURRENTLY.

PLEASE READ THE DETAILS... NOT EVERYONE IS UNLUCKY ENOUH TO GET THIS OFFER.

I got the offer, but refuse to use it as it will be more expensive, and more wasteful as it includes more service than I will use.

I also didn't get this text.  So frustrated!  I tried going to Koodo.  I have 3 phones and satisfy all the criteria for the promotion, but none of my phones got the text or email.

When you say you "tried going to Koodo", are you saying you went to a store and they wouldn't allow you to have the plan because you couldn't show them the text message?

You do not need the text message to get this plan.  The promo code is well known and is the same for everyone who is eligible for this plan.  If the retailers won't offer this plan to you, you can simply order a sim card from koodomobile.com after entering the promo code and Public Mobile phone number.

This offer has been out here for well over a month now maybe 6 weeks and I am surprised at how many people are posting on the last two days about not getting the offer.

Not every account with Public Mobile qualified for the migration offer.  Only those having the $120/90 days/12 gigs/province wide calling/text plan qualified for the offer.  @sunnya130, if you have this plan but was not notified, then you should follow up with the moderator team.

@sunnya130 Are you on the exact same plan as your friend? If yes, try putting your number as a validation code on koodo's activation portal to see if you are eligible.
