New Public Mobile (PM) user here. I just received my SIM today and activated my account... everything went really smoothly (after I figured out IE was the better browser to use over chrome during the account setup steps).
While going back over my PM emails, I realized that while I had registered my email for a for a flash sale in late November (View in web browser) that I didn't get the 50% off during my SIM order. Perhaps it was an all inclusive offer where you needed the higher priced plan to get the SIM reduction, but a plan isn't known when you order a SIM, so I felt it best to ask questions here. Maybe the SIM order needed to be placed before Dec 4... not just signing up for the emailed offer by that date?
If the SIM discount was a secondary/stand-alone offer within the promo, will it be applied to my account in the future now that my account/sim is activated and joined to a plan (although not a $35+ one)?

@Anonymous My email link (still functional) lists it in the second paragraph (post blank space) of the bold offer...
Get $5 off every month for 6 months when you activate on any plan $35/mo or more online*. Don’t miss this great deal!
Activate by December 18th.
Plus, get 50% off SIM cards when you purchase online

There was one of these sales in October (SIM for $5). I can't seem to find the posting for one in November.

Which is my confusion @Anonymous ... so in the dual offering, what was the promo period of the SIM card? that wasn't spelled out separately, which lead my understanding astray.

@_Daniel_ - Yes, you are correct. The November 23 - December 4 windows is to register for the promo. Then, you have until Dec. 18 to actually activate with PM.
EDIT: This is for the $5 for 6 months. has nothing to do with the SIM card discount.

As I read it... Nov 23-Dec 4 was the period to sign up for the email offer... then so long as everything happened by Dec 18 (today)... the discount offer applied.
SIM card pricing is usually independent of of these promotional offers. The SIM card price is whatever you've already paid. If it was priced at $10, this means that you missed the $5 SIM card sale.

So it came across to me as a reactive offer, not a proactive one that would have happened in the cart while I ordered the SIM on Dec 8.

The half-priced SIM cards purchased from publicmobile.ca would have had the price dependent on when you placed the order. The total price shows on the screen before payment. It would have been an immediate discount.
