I have recently changed my mom's phone service provider to Public Mobile, and got the $50 30-days plan. But we can't get the data to work on her phone (at all). We have previously been able to use data on her phone, and also it worked when I switch the SIM card to my phone. What should I do? It is really a waste of $50..

@jlyg as @Anonymous and @ShawnC13 noted, we need to know what phone you're trying to use. Some models (such as many Asus phones) need a manual APN configuration. Older iPhones (I believe 4S and older) need a special 1-time configuration procedure. And many LG models require a network reset, and if that doesn't work, a factory reset, in order to get data working after changing providers. We can try to help once you provide more details.

What type of phone does she have? If an LG they are known to have a network reset or even a factory reset done on them when going to another provider. Also have you checked and verified the APN settings on her phone.

@jlyg, what phone does she have? Is it compatible with Public Mobile data network? If so, have you checked the APN settings?
