My android phone showed last month that my data went over the limit. I added $10 and although my account was automatically topped up yesterday, my data usage is shown as over the limit by 404kB but my I received confirmation that my monthly payment was received.

You need to make sure your data tracker in your phone is set to the correct dates. But your self serve account is the most accurate tracker of your data. Your phone's tracker is affected by your time zone if you are not in the eastern time zone. It will also track mobile data usage they may not be counted against your plan data alottment such as MMS. Take not of what your data limiter is set to as the default setting is usually 5gb which may not be what your plan's data alottment includes.

tried rebooting phone 

and check  APN an Android phone (publicmobile.ca)

Hi @debbiemarotta33 make sure your device data limit is not blocking the data access.  PM cycle start date and phone's monthly cycle date could be the problem 

 

And your account just renewed?  Can you post a screenshot to show your current Plan usage details?
