Data from plan missing

I am on the $40 plan which has 4.5GB of data included (it says this on my profile/current plan status.....but this month i got a data use warning early and when i checked my account it says i only have 1 GB of data this month.
where's my missing data?

PM runs on Eastern time. depending on where one lives in Canada, ones account has the potential to renew a day early.
ie. BC accounts renew at 9pm the day before because of the time difference.
if one were to use their data after 9pm one is actually using the new renewed data

You can cut your data usage by manually disable your data setting and enable data when you need it.

Login to your Self Serve account and look under My Plan>View My Usage.
There will be a list of all your data usage while you are not connected to home or free wifi.

Maybe screenshot your Data and Add on section. The data counter.
For example:
If you did not change your plans, your data counter should not have changed.

A screenshot of your lower left half of your overview page would be helpful (without personal details) and your " my plan" details. Is the 1gb a data add on? Or plan data? When was your renewal? Is it possible your data did not reset upon renewal? Check your daily usage pages and add up your two daily 12 hour blocks of data reporting to get your usage before and after renewal. This will give you a good idea whether or not your data counter reset properly. If that and your usage tracker in your phone set to the correct dates indicate you need your data counter to be reset then contact customer support to reset it for you.
