I have a plan that gives me 1gb of data. This month, after using 560 mb, it looks like I've exhausted my data. But why? Can a phone use data without recording it?
My data re-ups in 2 days, and I'm always at home with wifi (thanks, 2020), so it's no biggie, but it *is* rather annoying to not have access to part of my plan.

@softech I'm aware of that but the customer could have already adjusted the device's data counter start date.

most counter comes with the phone os can only do monthly (in fact.. i think ALL of them do monthly only). Download app that can customize to 30 days cycle.. On Android, you can try "Data Counter Widget"..

The PM data counter is fairly accurate. If you don't see your monthly 1 GB data counter in the Data and Add on section in your overview page, that means you ran out this 30 day cycle. You can check your usage history to see when the data was used up.
Data leakage happens without knowing. For example, maybe the Wifi connection was interrupted and data needed to be used.
Did you get your free holiday bonus of 2GB and 500 long distance minutes?
That would cover you in these situations. Unused data will roll over to next month until used up.
