This is my second month with PM. Midway through this month, the app shows that I have used 37GB of my 60GB (billing cycle started on May 9). When I total the daily data usage, it comes out to no more than 7 GB. I have contacted customer service, they just tell me the billing cycle usage (37GB). Any ideas on why there is such a discrepancy? I do not know how I could've used so much data so quickly.

I did this as well. It does show now that I have used a significant amount of data on hotspots/tethering. I guess I won't bother looking at the data usage history on the app anymore - not sure what "data" it is showing when there is such a big difference. It doesn't show the true amount of data used. Thank you.

You should also go to your phone's settings and look at your mobile data usage. Adjust your data usage period to match your contract period. This will tell you how much mobile data was used by your phone. If the amount is the same as what is shown in the PM app, then it means that your phone was actually using that much data. On the other hand, if your phone shows something substantially less than the PM app, that would indicate a mistake by PM. Also, if you scroll down in your phone settings, you can also see which apps are using how much mobile data and that may pinpoint what is causing your data usage. Good luck.

Yes, it was the PM app showing the 37 GB. I put all the data for the current billing cycle into a spreadsheet to total and it was nowhere near 37 GB - it totalled 7.12 GB based on data quoted in the the usage history. In the last 12 days, all the data usage has been less than 1 GB, except for three days where it was ~2 GB.

Data usage is updated 2x a day. Use clean browser, incognito mode, clear cookies and you might see correct data status. Use computer...
