So I know that the 1GB is on sale for $15 instead of $30 

I was wondering how many have you bought it? Also how much data did you buy? I might have over done it a bit hahahaha but it’s good to have extra just in case. Maybe not this much extra though ($120 worth at half price so regular price of $240) If the image of the amount is too blurry it’s 8GB of add on data

@brettster99 go into your settings and tap cellular. 

take a look around, there should be some options in there. I'm not sure if you can set a limit, but you can track your data usage.

@brettster99 you can go jnto data usage settins and set an alert. You can also go into network settings and only use data when you knkw you need it.

I am trying all the data saving options. I have Low data load on and I been trying to use less data and be more present and not use my phone as much.

How can I cut my data off? I use an IPhone 7 Plus. I know android phones you can easily cut off data at a certain range

LOL! My plan is to buy a couple a month. I have bought a few now. If I spend as much on the add on's as I used to on my Bell bill I could buy 260.00 worth each month. LOL

That data will be good for you in the future though!

You know best how you use your data and how much you use.  Personally, I would not purchase multiple data add-ons. If you're finding the need that data add-ons are valuable to you, I would considered switching to a different plan, but as I said, you know your usage patterns better than I do.

   I see your reasoning in stocking up but since you're a higher data user making sure you choose the appropriate plan to your data needs is most important. It's alsobsmart to test yourself by downgrading for a month. Start employing all the data saving tricks you've learned on here....and put your data warning on and have it set to cut your data off so you have to go in and reset it. The last thing you would want is some glitch occurs in an app and you suddenly get a text warning you that you've used 95% of your data...all your data including add ons.

   I purchased 2gb of $15 add ons for my account tied to my community reward. With the credit that has accrued because there's no other way to spend it( I might buy 1 more?) Once I downgrade my other account to the $15 plan I will dip into add on data but I only used 312mb/5gb this past month and I wasn't even paying attention since I knew I had grads to spare. So my $10 plan I bought 2gb+1gb promo from last august (34mb/1gb) + 1gb holiday bonus+ 1gb promo (to be added soon)

=5gb 4G data. My other account has 1gb holiday add on + 5gb promo add on =6gb 3G/4G LTE. So if have 11gb of data add ons to access over and above the 250mb of plan data on the one account.

Yeah I know it’s cheaper to upgrade then to buy the add on. I just wanted some back up just in case. Probably way too much backup. I’m seeing how this month goes on 5GB. I was hoping to drop my plan again but if it turns out that I need the full 5GB plan then I won’t drop it anymore

@Naepalm @That’s the one I got denied lol. Been looking for anyway to make money online and I found that and got though first part. But then I did the demo lesson and they were basically like “we like you but we won’t be forwarding your application sorry”

I didn't buy any but I do know people who did. I wouldn't buy that much, it's cheaper to upgrade. One person I know used about 700 Meg's over 13 months. He didn't buy any as he has 5gig signup bonus and both gifts are not completely used up. Another person I know got 2, I don't think she needs that many, she did use up (by accident) the first gift and still has more than half of the xmasd gift. She keeps switching from plan to plan as her needs change. She downgraded to take advantage of that YES35 offer too. She'll probably end up using some add-ons this cycle.

I know two more people who were happy to see it and I know for the fact that they did purchase I just never asked how many.

It's really about matching your needs, if you are getting 1-5 days short from time to time you probably have the right plan and will benefit from couple of those for long long time. If you are always short at least a week you should seriously consider higher plan. Moving for example from 35 to 40 or from 40 to 50 makes more sense than buying add-ons even at 15/gig.

Also I'm hoping the gifts will repeat at least once per year (to make up for lack of 'unlimited') so the max I would get is probably 1.

I know that I haven’t had to call anyone outside of Canada recently and I still have all of those promotional minute add ones. Apparently I have used 2 mins out of 1 400 minutes promo. Another 200 minutes and another 400 minutes of add one unused which will be great for the future.

@Naepalm I know I kinda over did it a bit. I dropped down from the 9GB plan to the 5GB and have used half of my already. And this is going to be the only time I spent this much on add one as I can’t afford to do this again Laughing out loud but at half price and it’s good for infinity if you don’t use it I thought what the heck.

@brettster99 I guess, it depends on your requirements. I personally don't use a lot of data, so I didn't buy the data addon even with this discount. + there is always opportunity that PM will do another give away of data addon/international mins as they did previously.
