DO NOT GET ESIM - Leaving Public Mobile - non resolved issue with SIM and eSIM

Since I can't send in a ticket, there's nobody to talk to, no phone # to call, support can't be reached. I got a new phone and I there's no way to change the eSIM from one cell to the new. I ordered a sim card, it's been 10 days,nothing yet. I paid for 3 months of this service and I've had to carry my old phone in my bag with hotspot on anytime I go out. I don't even care that I'm loosing money but I going with literally any of the other big 3 (bell, rogers or Videotron) for cell service. This is insane. SIM cards have been around since I was 3years old you'd think they'd have that process fine tuned by now. But no, leave it to Telus, Canada's richest Telecom giant that can't start a new company without messing it all up. Never going back with public mobile again. DO NOT BUY ESIM IF YOU PLAN ON UPGRADING YOUR PHONE. they can't send a sim card by mail cus it's too hard and they don't have any way to change eSIM from one cell to a new one. I can not believe it's come to me posting a question on the community wall. I've worked in I T support for 10 years Telus, Public mobile.... Get your stuff together and fix it please it's so pathetic. I hope support sees this and I can get some money back at least.

A different kind of cell experience shouldn't be the worst kind of experience. If support sees this than figure out what my account it and find my number to call or message me cus I'm done with y'all.

I recommend either Amazon (usually next day) or walk on in to a local Mobile Klinic, Telus or Koodo store and purchase the SIM there for same day. The employees will undoubtedly try to bring you over to a contract carrier, but I just tell them I’m here for the SIM card.

Yeah esim isn't fully baked at PM yet. I would stick with physical SIM until esim at PM is at a more mature state.

Also PM is notoriously slow at shipping physical sim cards. Best to find one locally or order from Amazon.

@Wolfpupmaxx

Unfortunately, you can only switch from eSIM to a SIM but hopefully in the future PM will be able to transfer eSIM from device to device.

You should apply to PM to fix all the IT issues. 😉
