Trying to set up a phone for my daughter. Is there not an option to add a voucher as payment at the end or only a credit card? I don't have a credit card and already bought the voucher. And Walmart no longer does hookups, only online I was told....

This is good to know - expect not all CSA's might know the process, but it's good to know there is a way to get activated for those who cannot attain the specified payment methods. 🙂

Indeed that is crappy, @Dog_groomer
Try to see if support might be able to assist with voucher in hand - it's worth a try.
The activation screen does say this under payment:
"Get your payment ready
We accept credit and Visa Debit cards registered to Canadian addresses."

@Handy1 this is for a new activation thus no ,611 access
- @HALIMACS can CSA agents activate a sm card for customers using a voucher,? Don't recall seeing this before?
Edit it was just informed that agents can set up a sim card (suspended) then clients login and use voucher to make payment thus completing the activation

Not sure how I could do that as it won't even go through the last stage o hooking up the sim without payment, meaning the phone isn't hooked up with a number yet to apply it to that sim/phone

You would need customer support to assist using a voucher. Might be best to try to use a credit card or debit visa/mastercard just to get the activation done.
To contact a Customer Support Agent, there are 2 methods:
- Use the ticketing system for a faster response time. Click here and type Customer Support Agent, then select Contact Us, then select Other (or the topic that more closely matches your request). Click the result which states Click here to submit a ticket and follow the prompts, or,
- Send a private message to the Customer Support Agent by clicking here You’ll need to be logged into your Community account for the link to work.
Watch for their response in your Community private mailbox which will be indicated by a number on the small envelope icon to the left of your Community avatar.

Unfortunately yes you need a credit card to activate. You could try getting a prepaid credit card, Koho comes to mind. There are others vanilla is one I have heard aswell. But not too familiar with these.
Other members will likely offer more details

@Dog_groomeri think you can dial 611 and add the voucher that way
