So how does this community work? It said you get money back for involvement, so I want to know some more info from others.

@HALIMACS   No, I don't close the browser, I don't even close the tab that has the community open, but I do do other things on other tabs and leave that one "stacked" or whatever it would be called so I can go back to it later.  Sometimes I have to log in again sometimes not, I suppose that depends on how long the tab was left inactive.  On the bright side I don't have the problem some others have with the trusted device setting, I very rarely have to get the code to log back in.  Hope I didn't speak too soon lol!

Not me @Meow

I never have to login to the community on the few browsers/devices I use from time to time.

Not sure why you do?

Maybe you have your browser privacy settings set such that upon closing your browser, you clear all cache and cookies every time.   Perhaps check that - just throwing it out there...

I know even when I close the browser and even shut down, the next time I login, and tap on PM Community tab, I'm still logged in.

My workaround to keep the community page logged in is to keep the private message page open in a tab. But this could all have to do with the various browsers and settings and OS's. So YMMV.

Yes, me too.  I get logged out every so often even if I have the community page on a tab that is not closed.  It's rather irritating I must admit.  I haven't kept track of timing though, but it seems longer than two minutes of inactivity.

Nope!

System logs you out about 1h hour of Community inactivity. But you cannot be on-line on Community all the time and browse, write, etc.

Old system would keep you logged in until you turn off your computer. Do not know about app...

Might you be referring to the self-serve account?

Could also be a browser setting you might be able to change otherwise ... 🤔

The labor would be a little bit more tolerable if the system didn't sign you out after 2 minutes of non activity.

@Htcart18

it’s really a labour of love.

key is to be brief, informative, and respectful

You could spend 5 to 10 minutes every day and maybe expect to get a dollar a month.

Up that to two or three hours a day and you might reach $15 a month.

Bear in mind the average return is less than $.10 an hour at best

it has been said you’re way better off collecting refundable from the roadside.

By participating on the community forward, you can get monthly community rewards.  The formula for community rewards is unknown. It is like a combination of number of posts, number of bravoes and solutions received.

Ranges from 1 -20 points per month.  The lower levels require less time.  Our general advice is if you enjoy helping others on this forum, continue to spend as much time as you have.  You will need to spend hours a day to achieve 15 points per month.  Not worth your time.  We joke that you can make more money going around collecting bottles and cans than participating on this forum. Time wise.

If interested, start off my reading the help articles on the help section.  Slowly participate on posts and then gradually develop more experience.
