Closing an assoc account

My account is associated with my husbands. His needs to close but I want to keep mine.  When he closes his mine goes dark even though mine is paid up.  How do I uncouple them?

Each account needs its own email address and separate login.  

If you have two accounts with one email address, you will need to contact customer service agent to sort out the issue.

What do you mean it go dark? Once you disable auto pay you phone should still work till your payed time runs out. The account doesn't close till 90 days after your service stops. Unless you port the number out or contact PM and ask them to close it.

It is not possible to have 2 accounts on one account. 1 account/1 email.

You need to login his account with his email & password and disable AutoPay/Subscribe button then his account will be closed after 90 days of nonpayment.
