Uhm, unless you know, for a fact, that PM's signal is poor where you're going, that makes no sense either, since their coverage, via the Telus/Bell reciprocal tower sharing agreement, is as good as it gets in this country, but whatever works for you....

I suppose a good question would be, since your "account was expiring 16 Feb.", and you switched your account to another provider today(15 Feb.), WHY would you make a payment on the account YESTERDAY? It makes no sense, unless you stumbled upon a SMOKIN' hot deal, that you couldn't resist, at the other provider, AFTER you made that payment?

If you're still around...I agree if it's your real money in the account. If you've only accumulated rewards and credits though then it's not real money.
I've read a couple things here recently where arguments have been made but I haven't heard the outcome.

You'll have to contact moderators. When you port your number out your account gets closed automatically.
The moderators will look into this for you.

Not possible. Public Mobile is prepaid service. You pay your 30days in advance. There would be no refunds.

Do not close Chatr account before porting as it must remain active. Account #, phone #, and address will need to be provided. Port may take several hours or a day to complete. Use Chatr sim until it stops working at which point port is complete. Insert PM sim then to continue with service.

Chatr online does not tell you your account number. Call Chatr to get your Chatr account # first before starting the porting process.
1. You account must be active before you can port your Chatr number to PM. Don't cancel your Chatr number and let the porting process to cancel your Chatr account.
2. You need your account#, your full name on your account and your phone# to be ported.

Yes it is @Saileshkumar . Though it is recommended that you set up your PM sim self service/ my account witha temporary phone number and port your chatr number from within. You chatr account must be active to port .
