Change from Legacy plan and also Account email

Hello ...

- I want to change my plan from a Legacy plan of $120/12Gb every 3-months to the monthly $40/15Gb plan. My question is, will I be able to retain the discounts (loyalty, registered payment, referral) on this account if the plan is changed?

- I want to change the email to access my account, I don't see an option to this this on the online portal, how/who should I contact?

- Lastly, tried to update the address but the city of "Mississauga" is not on the drop-down list. Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you very much for any assistance!

That's not something you need to worry about. That's for newer customers who had signed up using a promo code and got data for a period of time as a promo. You wouldn't have that.

Many other regulars have changed from those old plans to newer plans and all of their rewards stayed. Do NOT switch to points.

Apologies if I still asking questions which may seem obvious.

When I go to the plan change screen, it indicates this (image below) ...

The (old) cash discount I currently have on the account is not considered a "promo" is it? I am confused as what the "rewards" are since PM change it from $$ discount to points. Basically, I want to ensure I still have the $10/month discount (rewards?) after I changed my plan.

Thank you!

Years of experience here has shown that Public will honour a plan and price when it is scheduled. They could raise the price after or remove the plan and they would honour it.

But who knows, things could also change.

@vn33 PM has been offering this $40 for 15 GB since at least Black Friday.  I certainly cannot say in certain that price won't change, but it does seem a regular price to me

You can schedule it first, there were posts seem to suggest PM will honour the piece as long as the plan was scheduled before plan change.  Please remember to keep screenshot with date as proof

Thank you for confirming the fact I will not lose my discounts already in place. It comes out to be $30/cycle (or $10/month) and I certainly would like to keep that.

Also, if I were to chose the $40/15Gb for the next renewal date (in July as the account just renewed), and PM decided to end the deal, plan goes back up to $60/15Gb, will I still be guaranteed the price of $40 for 15Gb?

The address has no bearing on anything else in the system. It can be fake for all it cares. Just need a billing address matched postal code to register a credit card.

Adding - on the credit card entry screen

one more thing, make sure you schedule plan change using Change plan on renewal date.  If you use the other choice, Change plan now, PM will starts the new plan immediately and change you the full plan price of your new plan.  Unused days and data will be forfeited and no partial refund, it could be high lost if you just started a new 90 days cycle

The address in your account profile only accepts citiy names that are in the drop down list.  Unfortunately, this is an issue that was introduced when Public Mobile redesigned the website last year. You'll need to either leave the address as it is now or select a city that is in the list.

As for rewards, changing from a 90-day to 30-day plan will be shown in 30-day equivalents after the plan change.  You won't lose rewards from changing plans.

1.  yes, you can change plan and it won't affect your rewards at all

2. you need to open ticket with PM support to ask them to help changing the email address used for My Account

3.  No worry about city, just pick somewhere close to Mississauga.  Address is strictly for PM's record keeping, not for credit card or anything at all
