More than a year with Public Mobile, cellular data never works!!! So frustrated!!! I was told to update all the apps on iphone. What this to do with apps? I do not understand it. When I used the other service, I never have this issue.

I RESET my iphone's NETWORK SETTINGS, now it works. Thanks!

@Sophie03 - never? for a year? What model of phone do you have?
Check:
NOTE to Perform a Reset of your device's Network Settings.
This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.
Iphone:
To Reset Network Settings, begin by opening the Settings app. Next, tap General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings. and enter your passcode.
Your iPhone will reset network settings and restart itself.
android:
Find and tap Settings > System > Advanced > Reset options > Reset network settings.
