I have had no bars for telephone service in two days. i can not make calls or receive them. my account is active. i have reset my phone, i have toggled airplane.

It could be local cell tower has issues. Did you try to connect moving further from your current area (few km)?

@se677ro do you know anyone using Telus/Koodo/Bell/Virgin/Lucky might have experiencing problem in your area as well?
do you have another phone to test your sim card? this can confirm if it is a device issue or network

I can not text or use my data. and i have looked for outages in bowmanville to belleville area nothing still.

Other things to try:
Network reset of phone
Try your SIM card in another working phone. That helps determine whether hardware issue versus PM Service problem.
