Carrier rejecting iPhone (14 pro)

I have an iPhone 14 Pro which was working fine for the last couple months until this am when  "SOS" appeared in the top where the network bars normally would be. I have reset the network setting, updated the software to iOS 17.0.3, taken the sim card out and tried in another iPhone (the public mobile sim worked in that a phone, and the bell sim card worked in this iPhone). I spoke with Apple and they said that for some reason the carrier is rejecting my phone. There are no sim restrictions in the carrier lock section. Please help.

hi @annerobyn where you got the phone from? like Kijiji?.  if the phone was blacklisted  by other carriers, Pm won't be able to help to take it off

you can submit ticket to agent but they will only confirm if it is really blacklisted

Sounds like the individual you purchased the phone from stole it before selling it to you, unfortunately. Eventually whomever the original owner was reported it as a stolen device, and now it's blacklisted.

@hTideGnow do you know how to contact Public Mobile to enquire more about this?

Yes, I have reached out to the person I purchased from, however not heard back yet. I have a chat thread about the purchase but that's all. I will contact Apple again, although it sounds like its a carrier related issue?

oh NO! It says my phone was reported lost or stolen. I purchased it on marketplace new in the box, wrapped and have had no issues for the last few months. Any advice would be greatly recommended.

@annerobyn , have you contacted the place you purchased it from to see why it was reported lost or stolen?

Did they provide you with anything showing your proof of purchase? I don’t know how it works purchasing something that way so I asked.

I am not sure if contacting Apple would help.

HI @annerobyn

check if your phone is blacklisted, probably not, but still possible that Telus got the later list before Bell:
