Plan is current but when I try to make a phone call a message comes on and says I do not have a current plan

no problem with me. But try reboot phone. Change the network t 3G to test voice calls

I can text but can't receive or send calls. No recent plan changes

@Lanaspinks are you able to receive calls, send or receive texts? Did you make a recent plan change?

which province and city you are at ?
there have been some posts about calls issue, not sure if it is a widespread issue
Can you receive incoming calls? Data works? Does your phone shows connected to PM network?
if you have another phone around, test your PM sim card there
if you don't have another phone, try to reseat the sim card, power off phone, take sim out for a minute, then put it back and power up
