Can't see if someone has seen my text

Hi I already had an issue with sms not working at all but that was fixed. I wanted anyone else who has PM and can see if there sms messages have been read I used to on Fido. Is it something customer service can fix.

I didn't know that sms lack the protocol. It's the default message app on my pixel. And from my Google search it looks like it is indeed RCS.

The SMS protocol doesn't have the ability to inform you if the sent message has been read by the receiver.  Notifications that the message was read was liikely RCS or some other type of chat or instant messaging service.

what phone you have? did you try to Reset All Networks?
