Can't receive text messages

Hi All

 

I recently had to cancel a US roaming add on, after this happened, I could send texts, but realized a few days later I couldnt receive them. Looking at the board, a bunch of people have had the same issue after a US roaming add on expired, and needed moderators to fix it for them.

 

I have been messaging the mods for 2 days with no reply, is there any other way to reach out to them? Getting a little annoyed, I've missed some important texts and no response from PM at all.

Is this an Android or Apple?

I'm sure all of these options have been long since tried seeing as how this seems to be a bug in PM but...

Doing some googling around for Android...

-clear cache and force stop on the messaging app and then restart

-go about setting the date and time just because

-manual scan for network and choose Public Mobile then return to auto and maybe restart

 

Does someone sending you an MMS arrive?

Unfortunately this is an account issue. Is there anything in your self serve account that isn't right? Does it show active?

If you haven't already sent them a message, send it now.

In it I would also ask for the account to reflect the missed days whether it be a credit or resetting of the renewal date to (however many days lost) later.

Unfortunately I don't have another phone to try it on. Any other thoughts? So far nothing has worked.

Normally these kind of issue probably related to expiry of the addon, even they refunded the whole amount.    Have you tried it on another phone using the same sim card?

Tried lost phone trick and had already rebooted a few times, no luck

I wonder how the moderators cancelled the add-on.  If it was simply a refund, the expiration of the add-on can interfere with the normal plan.  The problem does self correct a few days after the add-on expires.  

Along with everyone elses suggestion...try removing and reinstalling the sim card. Sometimes that trick works too. Good luck.

Try rebooting your phone and resetting you carrier settings.

I had to cancel my trip at the last minute, so I asked the mods to refund the add on as I didnt use it yet, and they did. Since then, no texts received, this was Tuesday. I cant afford to wait until next Friday (10 days) I use this phone for business and have been missing  sugars from clients. Will try the lost phone trick, thanks for the quick reaponse

The wait time for moderators have been 3-5 days.  Hopefully, you will get response in the next 24 hours.  One of the regulars mentioned to me this morning that he had not recieved any response from his moderator request from Tuesday.....  

 

Sometimes this problem just resolves by itself with time.  Keep try re-booting your phone a couple times per day as your wait.  

 

Another thing that you could try is the lost/stolen phone trick.  In your self service account, you can report your phone lost/stolen.  Logout.  Wait a few minutes.  Then Login and report your phone found.  Reboot and see what happens.  If this does work, let the community know so we can tell others.

Hi,

Can you explain how you cancelled your Add-on? This situation normally occurs after the add-on expires. Try going to self serve, select lost/stolen and suspend your account. Log out and wait a few minutes. Log back in and select found.
